COVID-19 Updates - 2022 Events

COVID-19 EVENT STRATEGY - 31st January 2021

Youth Leadership Academy Australia recognises and acknowledges that every single day, restrictions are changing and evolving, in a way that will impact the operations of our events and the attendance of schools to our events.

We are committed to providing a world-class experience that creates meaningful and lasting change throughout Australia, although our team will always place the safety of our students, teachers and staff first.

What steps are currently being taken by our team?

Currently, we do still have every intention of hosting ALL events and providing flexibility for schools.

  1. Hybrid Event Options

Our team are currently considering alternative ways of delivering the events, including providing the option to stream the event live from the convenience of your school. This will provide schools with more flexibility.

If you would like to request a hybrid option, please click here: https://airtable.com/shrOfKI65HHjwkWCL

  1. Back-Up Dates

We are discussing with our suppliers, venues, and speakers on alternative dates in Term 2 in the case that the event can not go ahead at all.

What do we require from schools?
We acknowledge that schools have planning to do and parents to provide information to, and appreciate your patience as we work to bring you the most up to date information possible. Any changes to events will be communicated via the email you placed your order through, and on this page you are currently reading.

We ask that you refrain from calling unless the matter is urgent.

Please note that our original COVID-19 strategy remains in place

In the unfortunate event that Youth Leadership Academy Australia cannot host the State Youth Leadership Conference at your selected location due to government restrictions we will follow the advice from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission's (ACCC) regarding your consumer rights.

If your school has already registered for the event and you no longer wish to attend an event due to concerns about COVID-19, this will be treated as ‘Event Ticket Cancellation’ as per Youth Leadership Academy Australia Events and Programs Terms and Conditions

Section D, Clause 23 states that;

“In the event that you cancel your tickets to attend an event, you must provide written notice to Youth Leadership Academy Australia. Our cancellation policy states the following terms for ticket refunds.”

Tickets purchased 31 days or more prior to the event: 7-day ‘cooling off’ period where customers receive a full refund for their tickets, after the 7 days the tickets become non-refundable.

Tickets purchased 30 days or less prior to the event: Tickets are non-refundable.

Youth Leadership Academy Australia recognises these are exceptional circumstances, and we have the intention to support all of our schools who have invested in their young people whilst protecting our business.

We look forward to supporting your students to grow on their leadership journey in 2022.
