The power of Gen Z ⚡️Jae Brieffies

All successful organisations are shaped by people smarter than the CEO. Fact.

In 2019, Jae was captain of her school in WA and worked to overhaul the student leadership system to create a council that supported students’ personal and professional development and allowed them to create meaningful change in their school community.

Jae in 2020, used these skills to found RADIANT. Originally a program introducing students to principles of change management, social impact, and non-profit leadership, Radiant has since continued to grow the impact by delivering leadership programs in Regional WA and their flagship program, Young Visionaries Lab.

Within YLAA, Jae and I have a very aligned vision of ensuring that young people are supported long-term and play a critical role in our program development. Jae's role quickly transitioned to Student Engagement Officer with her developing and introducing 'LeaderUp' our 10-week post-event program, as well as building and chairing our Youth Advisory Board.

Ok, by this point, you will be thinking, surely there cannot be more... There is. Jae is also a full-time student studying law. She fits a lot into a week, that's for sure.

As our organisation continues to evolve, we want to make sure that we continue to represent and empower the voices of youth in their own affairs, that’s why we have created our first Youth Advisory Board - not only to ensure that our students’ interests are at the core of every aspect of our organisation, but also to give the young people we serve the opportunity to develop themselves personally, whilst contributing to our mission of ensuring a sustainable future for all youth.
