
Ameera Lee is an Australian Paralympic archer and advocate, renowned for her rapid rise in Para‑archery and her inspiring journey as an athlete living with multiple sclerosis. Born on 1 February 1974, Ameera resides in Homebush, New South Wales and began her Para‑archery career in 2016 after trying the sport with her son.
Ameera’s dedication and talent quickly earned her a spot on the Australian Para‑archery team, making her international debut at the 2018 Para‑archery European Circuit in Olbia, Italy, where she reached the quarter‑finals. She continued to excel, including becoming the first Para‑archer to win the Australian Open, competing alongside both para and non‑disabled athletes.
Her performance at the 2023 World Para‑archery Championships secured a Paralympic quota, leading to her selection for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, where she competed in the Women’s individual compound open and Mixed team compound events.
