Brooke McIntosh is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness and a trailblazer in advocating for change within the Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) industry in Australia. She is well-known for her remarkable achievements, including her 28-day, 1,600-kilometer charity run across Western Australia. Starting from Karratha in the Pilbara on August 20, and finishing in Perth on September 16, 2023, her run raised vital funds and awareness for mental health, especially among FIFO workers and the younger generation. Her journey, filled with physical and emotional challenges, captured the hearts of many, and she has since raised over $72,000 for mental health charities such as 20Talk and the Blue Tree Project.

As a former FIFO worker, Brooke understands the harsh mental toll the industry can take, and she uses her platform to advocate for the necessary shift in attitudes toward mental health. With personal experience overcoming her own mental health struggles, Brooke’s openness about her journey has become an inspiration to others. Her story serves as a beacon of hope for those facing similar challenges, encouraging them to seek help and utilize positive coping mechanisms.

In addition to her charity run, Brooke's efforts to create lasting change are complemented by her role in raising awareness for mental health within the FIFO workforce. Her personal and professional achievements exemplify resilience and commitment, sparking critical conversations and empowering individuals to prioritize their well-being.
