Craig Hollywood

Craig Hollywood is a civil engineer, social entrepreneur, and the founder of Short Back & Sidewalks, a national not-for-profit providing free haircuts and genuine conversation to people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage across Australia.

Since launching the organisation in 2015, Craig has led a growing movement that breaks down stigma and builds connection through compassionate, community-driven outreach. His work has reached thousands of Australians, offering dignity and human connection where it’s needed most.

Named Western Australia’s Local Hero in the 2022 Australian of the Year Awards, Craig is a passionate advocate for mental health, social inclusion, and kindness as a force for change. Through both his engineering career and social impact work, he champions the idea that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued.
