Sarah Williams is a passionate advocate for survivor-led education and systemic change in the fight against sexual violence. As the Founder and CEO of What Were You Wearing Australia (WWYW), Sarah leads a national youth and survivor-led organisation that challenges victim-blaming narratives, supports education around consent and respectful relationships, and fosters brave spaces for disclosure and healing.
Founded on a simple yet powerful question, WWYW empowers communities to reframe conversations about sexual violence through immersive exhibitions, school and university programs, and national advocacy campaigns. Under Sarah’s leadership, the organisation has grown rapidly across Australia, becoming a voice for young survivors and a catalyst for cultural transformation.
Sarah is also an accomplished speaker and educator, known for delivering trauma-informed presentations that equip young people, educators and professionals with tools to build consent-literate, inclusive communities. Her leadership has been recognised across the education, justice and non-profit sectors, and she continues to advocate for policy reform, survivor-centred practice, and intersectional support for young people navigating harm.
