Varsha is a 21-year-old speaker, podcaster and advocate for climate justice and mental health

Varsha Yajman, a dynamic 21-year-old speaker, podcaster, and relentless advocate, stands at the forefront of climate justice and mental health awareness. As a coordinator at SAPNA South Asian Climate Solidarity Network and a paralegal at Equity Generation Lawyers specialising in climate change litigation, Varsha actively engages in transformative work.

Her commitment extends to organising for School Strike for Climate and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition, where she played a pivotal role in mobilising 350,000 people across Australia. Varsha's passion materialises in her podcast, "Not to be Controversial," designed to forge a community where young South Asians feel represented and empowered.

Currently a law and politics student at the University of Sydney, Varsha's impactful journey has garnered recognition. In 2021, the Women’s Agenda acknowledged her as one of the 100 women resetting the world, and in 2022, Urban List recognized her as one of the 30 individuals poised to change the world by 2030.

Varsha Yajman's multifaceted endeavours embody her dedication to reshaping narratives, amplifying marginalised voices, and fostering positive change on both the climate justice and mental health fronts.
