Year 11–12 Leadership Programs
ABOUT THIS CATEGORY
Our senior leadership programs for Years 11 and 12 focus on developing the next generation of school captains, prefects, and student leaders. These workshops cover advanced leadership topics, including ethical decision-making, integrity, and mentoring younger students. Senior students are also given practical tools for public speaking, event management, and representing their school community. This training ensures they graduate with the confidence and resilience needed to succeed both in school leadership and in life beyond school.

Leadership Academy is a senior school leadership program for prefects and captains that tackles the challenges, burdens and insecurities students feel can hold them back in the transition to adulthood. We equip students with self-awareness and strategies for building resilience, confidence and adaptability, helping them cope with adversity and thrive through these challenging years. We work with students to develop a positive, action-focused mindset that empowers them to set and achieve their goals through research-backed strategies, and to foster stronger relationships, classrooms and communities through values-based leadership.
The Student Leaders Workshop is a one-day SRC leadership program that enhances student leadership teams' capacity to develop and implement positive tools for change in their schools and communities. Teams unify their vision, build trust as a group, clearly understand their role and influence as leaders, and recognise their responsibility to leave positive change for the young leaders to come. We provide the mentorship, skills and action-focused mindset for student representative groups to develop and execute their own student-led initiative — creating genuine impact in their schools.
Empowered Changemakers is a two-day SRC leadership program that gives student leadership teams the solid foundations for success. We focus on developing trust, clear channels of communication and a shared team vision to strengthen their capacity for collaborative work. Teams are challenged to take a new approach to the issues they see in their schools and communities, and to build a problem-solving skillset that lets them respond quickly and effectively to the complex challenges they face as leaders and youth representatives. Students are guided through identifying and planning a student-led initiative that creates positive impact, building the self-confidence and self-awareness to step into their roles — leading others, and leading themselves steadily towards their futures.
We start with hands-on, interactive challenges that help students explore leadership through action.
Students reflect on what they’ve learned and begin to connect their personal strengths to real-world leadership.
We provide practical tools and strategies students can use immediately in their school and leadership teams.
Each concept is linked back to research and real-life applications, ensuring every student understands the ‘why’ behind their learning.
