Year 8 Leadership Programs for Students

Our Year 8 leadership programs are designed for the middle years of high school — a critical time for building self-awareness and responsibility. Through hands-on activities and group challenges, students strengthen collaboration, empathy and resilience, learning how to support their peers, manage conflict and lead with integrity. It's about developing leadership from within and preparing students for more formal roles in future years.

Redefining Leadership (Secondary Whole Year Level)

Up to 200 Students

|

Years 7 to 12

|

Half to full-day workshop

Redefining Leadership is a whole-year-level secondary leadership workshop that challenges traditional notions of leadership, shifting the focus from leadership as ego to leadership as a practice of service and as a mindset for personal growth. Students are guided to understand their leadership potential by first understanding that leadership is a personal mindset - of ownership, accountability, resilience and commitment to the service of others. The workshop then helps students explore their potential to step up as change agents in their communities, supporting them to take action and create meaningful change in their schools.

Full-day workshop

The Student Leaders Workshop is a one-day SRC leadership program that enhances student leadership teams' capacity to develop and implement positive tools for change in their schools and communities. Teams unify their vision, build trust as a group, clearly understand their role and influence as leaders, and recognise their responsibility to leave positive change for the young leaders to come. We provide the mentorship, skills and action-focused mindset for student representative groups to develop and execute their own student-led initiative — creating genuine impact in their schools.
